Wellesley Bungalow

This growing family of 4 – soon to be 5 – had recently purchased this stunning new build. They loved the open and airy feel with a large back yard for their energetic family. The builder had created some special moments that they now wanted to layer in more elements to make it feel relaxed, durable and ready to invite friends and family in.

The family loved the palettes of the ocean and the beach. So, our primary goal was to brighten the rooms and allow the rooms to be flooded with natural light. We carefully considered how to achieve a beachy palette for this home in the suburbs of Boston. By using ivories, pale greys, and small doses of camel and the palest of pinks we created a tranquil vibe. For the furnishings, we focused on light grey woods and other natural elements like the roping of the kitchen chairs and stools to create the coastal colors.

This project began right before the COVID pandemic of 2021 got underway. And was installed as things begin to look better for the world. Our hope is that this lovely hospitable family can share their beautiful home soon with friends and family and enjoy it for years to come.
