Clark Hill Tudor

When this family of four wanted to move to be closer to the city, the town noted as the “city of homes,” Belmont, Massachusetts moved to the top of their list. The house is built in the classic Tudor style with a façade covered in brick and accented with half-timber framing. With its central location and a footprint perfect for this family of four; they undertook a complete renovation.

The couple are avid travelers, so coordinating a mixture of styles from around the globe felt most personal. We accomplished that through a mix of Asian, European, and Danish-influenced furniture. A buying trip mid-pandemic (of all times) to France allowed us to source some beautiful accents and furnishings from countries far and wide including Portugal and Italy. We celebrated them finding their roots in the United States by utilizing brands from Los Angeles, California to Brooklyn, New York. We kept the color palette rich and slightly moody, finding the sweet spot with warm cozy teals, deep rust tones, ivories, and aubergine.

From the first meeting, this family requested that their house tell a story. We worked to honor this request by celebrating their love of travel and New England where they have made a home. Utilizing our Rolodex of diverse vendors and establishing a colorful, layered palette; the narrative has been created for them to continue to add their own patina.
